POSITION INFO:

Counter Sales required for a reputable hardware company based in East London, Eastern Cape

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in a hardware or building materials environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in sales or retail is a plus.
• Flexibility to work weekends

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist them in finding the products they need
• Provide accurate information about products, pricing, and availability
• Process sales transactions through POS (Point of Sale) system
• Maintain a tidy and organized sales counter and showroom area
• Stock shelves and ensure that products are neatly arranged
• Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and industry trends
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and security
