Costing and Invoicing Clerk - Durban North

SUMMARY:
Calling all Costing and Invoicing Clerks in Durban.

POSITION INFO:

My client, a leading and well known company based in Ottowa South, Durban, requires a competent and experienced Costing and Invoicing Clerk to join their team.

This position is reporting to the Commercial Analyst.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Decosting of job tickets and checking variations on quotes and invoicing

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Costing & Invoicing

Ensure that all stock and time is loaded onto jobs and that outwork is receipted.

Check that the plan, quote and actual are in line. 

Take corrective action if any of the above are incorrect.

Liaise with sales, estimating, sales support, PC and Production on any issues arising from costing.

Check that selling prices matches quoted price.

Check for any additional work done on jobs and liaise with sales / sales support for extra revenue.

Monitor and ensure all jobs have correct items codes.

Check quantity dispatched is equivalent to what has been delivered to the client.

Ensure month end deadlines are adhered to.

Ensure costs are accurate are correct. ▪

To check for COST variations on profit and loss to GUD.

To check for variations on quotes before they are sent to client to ensure a stable profit margin WIP Report

Daily Maintenance of completed jobs to close to FINGOODS 

Check against Sales Order Call Off that full QTY has been sent to Warehouse

NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB ▪

To ensure that jobs are costed and closed to FINGOODS in the same month. 

To Ensure Call Offs delivered are invoiced timeously.

Ensure that the actual material usage is captured against the orders.

Provide feedback both ways (from staff to management and from management to staff)

Requirements:

Minimum Matric qualification

Studying toward or completed a B Comm. Degree or (or equivalent)

High level business skills (costs focus – profit driven)

3 yo 5 years experience in a similar role

SA Citizens only

Must be Criminal Clear

Must reside in the Greater Durban area
