JOB DESCRIPTION:

A well-established market leader in the Logistics industry is looking for a Costing Clerk to be based at their office in Kempton Park.

Salary: Basic R10000 per month

Responsibilities

Review and ensure that daily receipts have been recorded correctly.
Match deliveries to invoices, record these on the tracker file and follow up on short deliveries.
Review data captured on diesel depot system to ensure accuracy and take correction action on discrepancies.
To monitor, reconcile and control the diesel tracking system to ensure procedures are followed and resolve investigations for diesel variance analysis timeously.
Examine the levels of diesel to determine shortages and loss.
Identify ways to improve efficiency for diesel control.
Plan and conduct stocktake of diesel at the fleet premises.
Inspect and ensure completed documents for accuracy and completeness.
Continuous costing improvements on adhoc projects.
Develop a filing system for all diesel related documentation.
Generate month end transaction and stock reports.
Prepare monthly diesel invoicing file with COS and profit calculations.
Prepare monthly inventory journals.
Maintain customer database.

Requirements

Completed or in progress costing or financial qualification.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a costing role in a fuel, logistics or manufacturing industry.
Advanced excel skills
Experience in inventory systems and reconciliations.
A sound understanding of variance analysis.
