Costing Clerk

SUMMARY:
A leader within the engineering sector seeks to employ a Costing Clerk

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Cost Accounting / Financial management (Can be in process)

 Requirements

• 5 years’ experience with engineering and management accounting exposure
• Proficient in ERP systems & Financial software (Pastel partner, SAP, Job Boss)
• Converse in English & an African language preferably

 Duties

• Control and report accurate job costings (Labour, raw materials, component stock inputs)
• Stock levels
• Capturing of job costing data (Labour hours, machine hours, raw materials)
• Collate and verify data on job cards
• Costing variances & anomalies
• Analyse actual vs standard costs
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams & concepts
• Follow manufacturing plan
• Analyse old vs new item cost
• Reconcile physical vs theoretical stock
• Create and maintain accurate BOMs
• Process stock journals
• Stock take
• Develop, alter and write SOPS/RSDs for all tasks
• Training new staff on job costings
