Cost and Management Accountant - Paarden Eiland, Cape Town

Calling all Cost and Management Accountants in the E-Commerce or Digital Industry

POSITION INFO:

My client, a leading and well known company based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town requires a competent and experienced Cost and management Accountant to join their team.

Purpose of the Job:

Ensure that the commercial objectives of the business are appropriately managed, and the commercial strategy is delivered with the intention of achieving and improving the top line revenue and profitability

Duties:

Setting up costing models for studio, ecommerce, corporate, and analytics/insights (annuity and projects)

Compare actual costs to estimated costs

Plays a strategic role in setting up and analysing pricing models

Facilitate customer price increases

Conduct margin analysis and ensure the relevant margins for the business are achieved and maintained

Ensure the accurate submissions of contracts, tenders and RFQ’s

Review all outsourcing contracts to ensure competitive pricing and terms

Review how outsourced labour is built into the costings and identify any discrepancies

Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit

Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis

Preparing data and analyses reports that can be used by managers to make decisions that will lead to long term profits and growth

Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data

Preparing Capex motivations and conducting post capex implementation reviews

Detailed understanding and reconciliations of WIP

Project Management

Requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce degree and CIMA with 2 to 4 years experience ESSENTIAL

Previous working experience in a Digital / E-Commerce background is compulsory and NOT NEGOTIABLE

SA Citizens only

Must be Criminal Clear

Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area
