SUMMARY:
South Africa’s leading packaging manufacturer is in search of a Cost and Management Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate must be an independent thinker who can hit the ground running upon induction.

Job and Company description:

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a company that designs, manufactures and supplies the food services, retail and industrial industries with top packaging products. The company has a factory in South Africa, but the business is backed by a global packaging supplier. The ideal candidate must be advanced on Excel and must be able to do costing and variance analysis in their sleep.

As Cost and Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

Analyse and present monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis
Cost tenders and day to day costings
Assist COO with business modulations
Prepare year and quarterly budgets and forecasts
Analyse and oversee accounting corrections required on management accounts

Job Experience and Skills Required:

B.Com Cost and Management Accounting
Partial or completed CIMA advantageous
Variance Analysis
