Company and Job Description

Our client is seeking a Cost & Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is suited to an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys partnering with operations, evaluating production costs, and providing meaningful financial insights that support business growth.
You'll have the opportunity to work across costing, reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis while contributing to operational excellence within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
Develop, maintain, and review product costing models
Analyse raw material, labour, overhead, and production costs
Investigate cost variances and recommend improvements
Conduct gross profit and margin analysis
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitor inventory, work-in-progress, and finished goods
Support pricing strategies and profitability assessments
Prepare financial and operational performance dashboards

Requirements
Education

BCom Degree in Cost & Management Accounting, Finance, or Accounting

Experience

3-5 years' relevant finance experience
Proven product costing experience
Strong management accounting background
Manufacturing industry exposure advantageous

Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel
Budgeting and forecasting
Financial modelling and analysis
Sage Evolution advantageous
Power BI advantageous
