Cost Analysis (Production/Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing sector requires a Production Cost Analysis based in Cape Farms

POSITION INFO:

Objectives:

• Analysing Data to estimate product costing
• Providing accurate estimates of labour
• Production time and material components and other overheads used to compute product costs
• Reporting on Manufacturing Operational Efficiencies as well as Bill of Material (BOM) maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Studying and collecting data to determine costs linked to business activity and product costs
• Calculation of Product Costs including Labor and Overhead Rates
• Maintaining Bill of Material Accuracy
• Monitoring and Reporting on Production Performance and Outputs
• Monitoring and Reporting on Production Efficiencies
• Tracking of deviations in Production Targets and Costing
• Analysis of Production Input costs and Yield
• Analysis of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, to determine effects on costing
• Providing accurate cost estimates of new and proposed products
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products focusing on Margin and Profitability Analysis by Division and Product Grouping
• Analysis and Assisting in Capital Budgeting/Expenditure requests
• Assisting with Month end close of the General Ledger
• Assisting with Budget and Forecast Preparation
• Assisting with the maintenance of accurate Financial Records

Requirements:

• CIMA Qualification or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• ERP Experience.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions
• Developing Cost Analysis Models
• MS office experience required.
• Excellent communication skills
• Goal orientated
• Ability to work under pressure
• Analytical and Accurate with attention to detail

Salary: R 30k - R 33k p/m
