SUMMARY:
This is wonderful opportunity to join the ranks of a fast-growing company in Cape Town (hybrid role) as a Cost Accountant. The company supplies drones (both B2C and B2B) and is in search of someone who is comfortable with cost calculations of different products, stock lead-time calculations, monthly cost reports and planning both local and international purchases and shipping.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job and Company description:

This is a fantastic hybrid role at a dynamic and fast-growing company that specialises in supplying drones to consumers and business. The company started out as lead suppliers of drones for photography and surveying purchases and are expand into other fields and uses. The ideal candidate must have experience with product costing and monthly costs reports. Experience with logistics function will be advantageous.

As Cost Accountant you will be responsible for:

Supervise and assist capturing clerk as workload dictates with keeping timeously and accurately up-to-date records.
Provide General Manager with cost calculations for new product lines under consideration
Provide General Manager with stock lead time calculations and updates to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Arrange shipments to ensure the timeous receiving and delivery of products.
Plan and coordinate local & international purchases and shipping.
Expedite orders and ensure updated international product prices.
Compile monthly cost reports.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

B.Com with 4 years’ experience in a similar role
Retail and / or logistics experience would be advantageous
Excel Advanced
Knowledge of Xero and / or DEAR software
