SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturer is looking for a handsâon Cost Accountant to own costing, inventory, and factoryâlevel financial accuracy. This role sits close to operations, driving meaningful insight through cost analysis, variance reporting, and stock and WIP control.
Ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, solid manufacturing exposure, and the confidence to be onâsite, influential, and involved.

POSITION INFO:

Own production and inventory accounting across the manufacturing operation
Verify and reconcile workâinâprogress to the general ledger
Analyse material, production, and consumption variances and drive corrective action
Review and manage stock counts, adjustments, and perpetual inventory accuracy
Produce monthly production, stock, and cost reports
Lead excess and obsolete inventory reviews and reporting
Prepare and post monthâend journals and standard cost updates
Reconcile inventory balances regularly and investigate discrepancies
Maintain ERP integrity through review, analysis, and internal control checks
Conduct risk assessments and support mitigation strategies across operations
Partner with production and inventory teams to improve cost and stock discipline
Support internal and external audit processes, including annual audits
Coordinate monthly stock counts across the operation
Assist with adâhoc finance tasks as required by finance leadership

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Manufacturing Experience – NON-NEGOTIABLE
Sage Experience
Good Tax Knowledge
Detail driven

Qualification:
BCom Finance or Accounting
CIMA
