Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for a Corporate Sales Manager (Relationship Manager).

Role And Responsibilities:
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the development of corporate business, and s/he will be required to maximize sales performance to achieve set targets defined by the business
  • Development of corporate business
  • Achievement of defined volume target for sales to corporate clients
  • Using a network of contact with dealers, and corporate clients, generate a portfolio of new prospects for the development of new business, including Rental business
  • Ensure maximum use of existing corporate credit facilities
  • Provide regular reporting to management of new business generated ongoing prospects currently in development and credit reviews completed
  • Achieve agreed rate/ profitability targets
  • Achieve an agreed balance between direct corporate business and business generated via dealers to whom incentives are paid
  • Understanding of current financial products and programs.
  • Undertake regular presentations to corporate clients, discussing their financing needs
  • Be able to discuss the financial performance with corporate clients, address issues of security to support funding needs
  • Prepare submissions for credit approval, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s business, analysis of balance sheets and financial statements
  • Complete regular reviews on a timely basis of the existing facilities to gain re-approval
  • Act as a contact point to address issues of customer services with corporate clients
  • Work with the dealer-based regional managers to provide support and training to dealers to ensure they understand the process of funding
  • Ensure effective control of the business with the completion of registration and document requirements, ensuring management of these processes are up to date

Requirements:

  • 100% adherence to the Fit for Proper Requirements defined by the FSB
  • Detailed understanding of both retailer finance and the motor industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and the ability to motivate others
  • Execution of diplomacy in the management of conflicting demands
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience selling short-term personal lines insurance
  • Proven track record of new business and sales responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial in execution
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Marketing, Business Management)
  • Minimum 30 FAIS Credits
  • Completed Regulatory Examination (RE5) for representatives
  • NCA Compliant
  • 5+ years of sales experience within the financial services industry
