SUMMARY:
A leading practice within the legal sector requires a Transfers Secretary to join their growing team!

POSITION INFO:
POSITION  :   CONVEYANCING SECRETARY(TRANSFERS)
AREA          :   CENTRAL JOHANNESBURG
SALARY      :   MARKET RELATED BASED ON EXPERIENCE
 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed Matric/ Grade 12 is Essential
  • Must have a minimum 5 years strong transfers experience.
  • If you have worked with Section 42 transfers added BONUS
  • Any related tertiary qualifications would be suitable
  • Team player with great communication skills and can qork well under pressure
  • Taking Initiative and assuming responsibility for ensuring expeditious processing of transactions 
  • Being able to manage exceptionally high volumes of conveyancing transfer files
  • Valid license or Reliable transport to work
DUTIES include but are not limited to:
  • Conveyancing Secretarial tasks 
  • Acknowledging receipt of instructions 
  • Liaising with clients for further instructions or documentation required for transfers
  • Section 42 Transfers 
  • Typing legal documents and correspondence
  • Scrutinizing instructions and ensuring compliance with the development instruction, sale agreements and conditions of loan (if applicable) 
  • Ensuring that clients comply with conditions of sale and FICA requirements 
  • Drafting of transfer documents relating to residential developments – conventional and sectional title properties 
  • Arranging consultations with clients 
  • Preparing documentation and arranging for clients to sign 
  • Updating electronic systems 
  • Ensuring that financial aspects of the transaction are in order and collecting payment 
  • Facilitating lodgement and registration 
  • Finalising accounts administrative tasks 
  • Maintaining an updated filing system 
  • Following up on outstanding requirements and communicating with clients, municipal councils and home owners'' associations and/or body corporates 
  • Attending to telephonic and email queries and requests from clients 
  • Closing of files
  • Archiving matters
