SUMMARY:
Our client, a large well-established legal firm, has a vacancy for a Conveyancing Secretary to be based in their Stellenbosch office.

POSITION INFO:

Requiremnets for the role:

  • Matric Essential
  • Minimum of at least 8-10 years Conveyancing experience
  • Experience with Conveyancing packages compulsory e.g. Ghostconvey, E4, Filesite, Windeed, CMS
  • Experience in township and sectional title developments, and different bank sites would be advantageous
  • Legal secretary/ conveyancing qualification advantageous
  • Full working knowledge of all MS packages

Key Performance Areas:

  • All Aspects of Conveyancing – specifically transfer and bond registration:
  • Attending to all administrative aspects from receiving instruction, opening file, obtaining FICA etc.
  • Applying to and obtaining municipal rates clearance certificates and transfer duty receipts
  • Drafting and checking of  transfer documents
  • Attending to signing of transfer documents, registration, preparing of final accounts and despatching documents to clients
  • Liaising with clients and all other parties involved in the matter
  • Building relationships
  • Running and administering own portfolio
