SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Foreman - Control & Instrumentation in the Umhlanga area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Matric with Maths and Science
National Trade Test or National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering
6-8 years’ experience of which at least 3 years must be in a supervisory capacity (Sugar Milling Experience would be an advantage)
Basic programming and troubleshooting of DCS systems, experience with Simatics PCS7 will be an advantage
Extensive experience using planned maintenance systems, especially Maximo
Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of networking and hardware support
Knowledge of Pi Historian
Must have a valid driver’s license

KPAs:

Supervise maintenance employees in the Control & Instrumentation discipline to achieve maximum plant availability and equipment capacity
Ensure implementation of preventative / reactive maintenance initiatives and plans to reduce costs and downtime
Plan and supervise the daily work and performance of each employee on assigned shift, organize schedules, and assign work activity to achieve team and company objectives safely
Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections
Identify and monitor KPIs to track performance and flag any issues
