Summary: Our client in the telecommunications industry is looking for a Consultant: Global Employee Experience



Job Description

  • Consultant, Employee Experience is responsible for the design, delivery, maintenance and control of Global Experience framework, standards and practices for the company by applying innovation, design thinking, digital drivers and agile methodologies for delivering exponential experiences
  • The Consultant: Global Employee Experience will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Assist in the creation of the sub-functional strategy in line with the overarching business
  • Provide input into the effective implementation of the strategy by means of providing
    direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps
  • Assist in regular review of the sub-functional strategy and roadmap to ensure its alignment
    with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem


Strategic Meetings

  • Provide input in strategic meetings when required
  • Provide inputs into the enterprise wide transformation initiatives when required
  • Provide inputs into the risk mitigation and controls
  • Perform evaluation baseline of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance
    indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives SLA, policies and


  • Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource
  • Provide solutions to escalations that have multiple processes / functions impact on critical path of service delivery

Function Tactical

  • Provide input into all projects initiated (internal or global)
  • Provide input into establishing objectives, targets and budgets for Employee Experience sub-function as applicable
  • Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
  • Prepare documentation required for sign-off / making decisions regarding tactical changes


  • Ensure execution in alignment with sub-functional strategy
  • Provide input into SLA approval and exception performance review


  • Report on a periodic basis to reporting manager relating to progress made within the subfunction and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
  • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects as and when necessary
  • Periodically review reports from the Opcos


  • Assist in managing sub-functional budgets in line with overall functional budget and business objectives
  • Assist in managing project initiative budgets in line with business objectives

Operational Delivery

Support Delivery Management

  • Ensure service delivery excellence by providing practical and innovative employee experience solutions and serving as a trusted advisor to the Group HR and Opco HR stakeholders
  • Proactively develop a sound knowledge base and subject matter expertise, relating to employee experience concepts, design thinking, digital enablement and agile methods. Facilitate knowledge sharing with Global HR Expertise Verticals and Opco Specialists
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the function across the organization
  • Rollout of Global Employee Experience transformations, projects and initiatives. Onboard and develop strong working relationships with Opco HR teams to ensure successful execution and delivery thereof
  • Provide training and consulting support to Opcos, in order to ensure effective adoption of the experience model and framework
  • Liaise with external suppliers and consultants for outsourcing service provision and contract management
  • Support and facilitate transformation through internal networking, supporting innovative experience proposals and presentations

Employee Experience Strategy, Design and Digitization

  • Provide inputs to the development or the Global Experience strategy and budget
  • Research, apply agile and innovation methodologies to design and deploy:
  • Global HR Employee Experience framework, model and design standards
  • Experience Performance & Impact Measurement framework
  • Experience design and implementation kits
  • Assist in cascading the employee experience model to the respective Opcos (including Manco) through effective brand building, knowledge sharing, continuous socialization and engagement and providing advisory support to enable local implementation
  • Continuously evaluate, analyze, monitor and report on key experience performance indicators and metrics to determine the effectiveness of the strategy and model. Recommend alternatives and course corrections, as required
  • Discover and assess the existing practices, process, policies, technology enablers and interactions which impact critical employee journeys, to identify experience interventions and opportunities
  • Apply design-thinking and agile methodology to create HR programs, processes, and policies that engage HR Customers and enhance the “delight” factor
  • Design and socialize desired end-state employee journeys to explore the details of the critical high impact interventions. Prepare the necessary business case to support the cost vs. impact for implementation
  • Design, develop, coordinate and rollout global initiatives that amplify the employee experience and increase employee engagement
  • Identify, evaluate and propose feasible digitization enablers that activate high employee experience interventions
  • Where required, plan and manage pilot initiatives to assess feasibility of specific experience interventions. Periodically report on the progress, status of achievements, risks and mitigation measures.
  • Prepare and submit recommendatory reports on key improvements and feasibility for global rollout of the pilot program
  • Track and demonstrate Return on Investment (ROI) for employee experience and other transformation initiatives. Suggest changes in strategies based on returns on programs
  • Liaise with external design consultants /architects and seek inputs from Opcos to design global workplace standards which support the employee experience, wellness, collaboration and productivity improvement agenda
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of high impact experience touch points and suggestion and executing appropriate changes and interventions to maintain high experience levels
  • Obtain and analyze feedback through various sources from Business/Regional Partners, Opco HR, Global HR Expertise teams, insights from VOE (Voice of the Employee), GCA (Group Culture Audit) results. Assist in recalibration and improvement to the experience ecosystem
  • Assist in creating visibility of active employee experience initiatives, achievements and pipeline project through active engagement, communication and socialization
  • Support and advice the Opcos on employee experience and digitization initiatives. Identify and communicate relevant insights and inputs that can maximize the impact of global digitization initiatives at the Opcos
  • Assist in the preparation of Executive reports and presentations


  • Develop an integrated wellness strategy, frameworks, objectives, policies and initiatives
  • Incorporate holistic (personal, physical, emotional and communal) wellbeing commitments and priorities in wellness strategy, in coordination with facilities, health and safety and sustainability teams
  • Conceptualize, design and implement integrated wellness programs across the company
  • Manage the end to end wellness program value chain - integrated wellness program calendar, events, commissioning and management of professional services, continuous employee feedback and remediation
  • Assist in communicating the wellness principles and solutions to the Opcos and ensure consistent adoption, through the respective Regional Partner Offices
  • Analysis, monitoring and reporting of key global wellness indicators on a periodic basis to ensure appropriate intervention, changes and mitigation measures are undertaken
  • Consistently evaluate wellbeing programs to assess ROI and effectiveness with respect to organizational performance, and trigger appropriate improvements and changes

Project Management Office

  • Responsible for project management and implementation of all experience and engagement related HR transformation projects
  • Develop project plans, project governance protocols and delivery milestones, with agreed reporting cadence
  • Develop, deploy and maintain project execution dash boards, timely reporting mechanisms and controls to ensure effective implementation of projects

Ways of Working & Collaboration

  •  Use a collaborative and solution oriented approach with all the Global Expertise Verticals in Group HR:
  • Collaboration with Global Organization, Strategy and Performance, Global Leadership & Learning Innovation, Global Rewards for integration of employee experience design with global HR systems and processes
  • Collaboration with Engagement and Internal Communication:
  • To gather inputs on appropriate digital tools for engagement, experience and communication
  • To ensure Global Internal Communication frameworks and standards are adhered to
  • Collaboration with Engagement and Internal Communication teams at Manco and Opcos to cascade and ensure adherence to global experience and engagement standards and frameworks. Provide support and advise for implementation of local engagement initiatives, as required, in conjunction with Regional an Manco Talent partners
  • Collaboration with Manco Business Talent Partners and Regional Talent partners to enable them to customize employee experience and wellness solutions for business and Opcos
  • Collaboration with Regional Talent Partners to rollout and align integrated Experience design and digitization, and wellness strategies and programs with Opcos
  • Share Best Practices with Businesses and Opcos for Employee Experience Solutions


  • Minimum of 3 year tertiary degree / diploma (Commerce / Human Resources / Business Studies /Management and/or Equivalent)
  • Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional bodies in the area of experience design management, digital forums, agile program, project management holistic wellness etc. (advantageous)


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working in the HR domain in telecommunication environment with specific focus on Employee engagement, experience, wellness, project management and HR digitization/transformations
  • Project management experience
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
