Introduction:
- Our client is a superior (SMEIPP) Structural, mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping and Platework construction contractor, offering services to the mining, industrial,, power, oil and gas sectors throughout Africa.
- This is an initial 6-month, Phase 1 on one of the largest Copper projects in Africa.
- All applicants are required to have SMP Underground experience (decline shaft) as a portion of the project includes underground steelwork, platework and piping installation work.
- All flights provided to site and all accommodation provided on site.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise work activities of workers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to scope of work and project deliverables (per discipline).
- Ensure adherence to site rules and safety.
- Complete accurate records for site reporting..
- Coordinate deliveries of materials, plant and equipment
Ability to:
- Ability to read drawings and understand contractual documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and organise and even discipline a team if necessary.
- Understanding of safety procedures.
- Ability to mediate and resolve issues.
