This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate with suppliers, evaluate quality goods, and keep within the required budgets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Research, select and purchase quality products and materials. Ensure construction materials are provided to schedule and according to projected budgets.
Liaising closely with the tender department to ensure that an accurate project cost are kept to.
Liaise with suppliers and obtain quotations and delivery schedules. Maintain detailed records.
Assess the reliability of sub contractors and suppliers according to company procurement policy.
Effectively manage any challenges with suppliers and the process flow of procuring materials.
Negotiate and agree on the most favourable terms possible with suppliers once a contract has been secured.
