Concrete Foreman
 

• Must have firm knowledge of COLTO Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Works for South African Road Authorities
• You will be reporting to a Contracts Manager and shall be supervising and managing all activities on site

Duties shall include:

• Daily managing of site including all admin (costing; timesheet; ordering and working with allowables)
• Programming of works and planning with the Contracts Manager
• Quality control of all work on site (civil structural & building) Including all health & safety on site
• Managing of all teams, experts (carpenters, shutter-hands, concrete hands and foreman and all local unskilled labours)
• Setting out of all work to be constructed
• Placing of concrete and finishing thereof
• Work according to specification of the Client
• Levelling and setting out of the shuttering
• Read & interpreting of all technical drawings, steel drawings included
• Calculating the amount of concrete needed on site
• Knowledge of Quantity Surveying will be an advantage
• Managing construction plant and diesel on site
• Setting out of concrete structures
• Steel fixing
• Shuttering
• Concrete placing
• Coordinating plant
• Daily safety talks
• Attend site, safety meetings
• Pre casting inspection checks
• Managing of all construction disciplines
• Excavation
• Formwork erection
• Design and construction of Buttress shutters
