Compliance and Training Officer

POSITION INFO:

Compliance and Training Officer required for well-established company based in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for assuring that sites comply fully with company standards and requirements. Your role will also include conducting independent audits to ensure sites are compliant, training of all staff pertaining to Site HES elements and compliance as well as developing all training material.

Your role will include but not limited too:

• Provide advice and support in all HES matters, including policy, processes and standards
• Develop a formal tracking system (Corrective and Preventative action) system to manage all non-compliances
• Retailer Training Course for managers and Retailers (RTC) – facilitate and conduct
• Provide consistent reporting, investigation and follow up (Remedial Action Plan) and close out
• Facilitate incident investigations as required with Business Consultants
• Support HES communication, sharing and learning through training and coaching of internal and Retail staff
• Plan and co-ordinate safety drills with Business Consultants
• Advise and ensure that sites are compliant with local regulatory requirements
• Maintain an up to date industry skill set pertaining to all standards and assure that this is made available to all stakeholders
• Training of all retail staff pertaining to customer service standards according to training matrices
• General compliance and audit
• Execute training to Retailers and Retailer staff to support the requirements
• Execution of formal training matrix to all sites
• Incident reporting
• Co-ordinate, implement and deliver all HES programs and initiatives at all sites
• Implement robust HES policies and procedures for all sites
• Training of all staff pertaining to Site HES elements and compliance
• Retailer Training Course for managers and Retailers (RTC) – facilitate and conduct
• Ability to develop training material
• Conduct Independent audits on set frequencies for all sites
• Assist Business Consultants with self-audits
• Effective management of retail programs
• Rollout of retail initiatives

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Degree or Diploma in Business Communication/Technology
• Health and Safety (HES) experience
• Training qualification/experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a Fuel Retail position

This role includes extensive travelling throughout the Eastern Cape with demanding schedules.
