Compliance Business Partner

Primary Responsibility

The Compliance Business Partner is responsible for statutory & regulatory submissions, safe keeping of compliance documentation, secretarial requirements, insurance submissions, and co-ordination of corporate sustainability and internal control assessments

Specific Responsibilities

ü Maintain & update the database for all statutory documentation.

ü Ensure regulatory submissions are performed accurately and on time (CIPRO, Annual Returns, StatsSA)

ü Maintain all resolutions, minutes of meetings and relevant agreements.

ü Support business with KYC & 3rd party requests

ü Monthly co-ordination & data validation for corporate sustainability.

ü Document control in line with POPIA

ü Maintain documented procedures & policies

ü Participate in audit and internal control requirements (ICOFR).

ü Insurance claims & submission of yearly insurance policy

ü Maintain regulatory dashboard and electronic filing system.

ü Participate in finance improvement projects

ü Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.

ü At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

Required Skills

ü Finance and/or business admin qualification

ü Experience working with multiple entities

ü Understanding of business regulatory requirements

ü Exceptional administrative skills

ü Experience working in a large corporate’s finance department

ü Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders

ü Teamwork and collaboration

ü Sufficient level of computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

ü Ability to work under pressure

ü Attention to detail (accuracy)

ü Business partnering focus

Compliance & Authority

Compliant to all SGS QOH&S and HR policies and procedure

• Granted sufficient authority to achieve the given responsibilities as per documented finance policies

• Secretarial and regulatory requirements

• Corporate sustainability reporting
