JOB DESCRIPTION:

Compliance Assistant

To review all KYC documents for prospective clients and to determine and request additional/missing documentation in terms of the AML/CFT Legislation.
Utilise systems such as World Check and Google Alerts to screen prospective and existing clients.
To conduct risk profiling on all prospective clients.
To conduct ongoing reviews of existing clients and request additional supporting documents as required by AML/CFT legislation.
To provide assistance to the Compliance Officer in establishing and maintain a formal risk strategy to counter AML/CFT.
To provide assistance to the Compliance Officer in implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls for AML/CFT.
Implementation and ongoing compliance with internal programmes, controls and procedures in terms of the requirements AML/CFT legislation.
Implementation of the compliance and risk framework and oversee the structure and management of the Company’s compliance function.

Accounting and Admin support (secondary to primary compliance role)

Support group and subsidiaries' month end accounting procedures.
Support group and subsidiaries audit process and liaising with auditors.

Liaise with external parties according to the needs of the company, including completing regulatory surveys for the FSC, ROC etc.
Assistance with tax returns; computations & filing; upload tax returns on MNS and arrange for electronic filing.
General admin duties as required.
