SUMMARY:
Excellent Administrator to undertake range of activities relating to the client with stakeholders, namely Department of Minerals and Energy, their mother company, client Trust and the mining host communities. Will further be required to have access to all the legal documents, Financial and Procurement reports controlled by finance.

POSITION INFO:

Position Overview

The Compliance Administrator is the administrative officer of my client, which shall act in the capacity of providing support to different departments of the client on their daily activities. This position requires to undertake a range of activities relating to the client with stakeholders, namely the Department of Minerals and Energy, their mother company, the client Trust, and the mining host communities. Compliance Administrator position will further be required to have access to all the legal documents, Financial and Procurement reports that are controlled by Finance. The position is central to the client and will be working closely with different departments at the client:

  • Mine Health and Safety
  • Environmental Department- An intern and Consultant
  • Mining, and Technical Department
  • DMR Compliance
  • Finance

 

Reporting Relationship

The position reports to the managing director

 

Assistance

For the number of tasks in this position, a form of assistance might be required. The current Office Administrator position will remain available for training purposes (Internship) and to ensure that support is always given to Compliance Administrator.


Working Relationship

Internal-: The officer will work closely with the Managing Director, Mine Manager, Mining and Technical department, Board Members and Trustees

External-: Government Departments such a Department of Minerals and Energy, Department of Water and Sanitation, Municipalities where we are operating mining activities, Mining Host Communities, and Mining Contractors.

 

Requirements

  • Accounting Qualification/ Background
  • Similar experience for a minimum of 2 years
  • Understanding of Mining Industry and its control measures will be an added advantage

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring meetings are effectively organized and minuted
  • Maintaining effective records and administration
  • Creating Purchase orders
  • Invoicing of Customers
  • Preparing Department of Mineral Resources and Energy presentations
  • Assist with the compilation of Mining Charter reporting and submission
  • Assist with the compilation of Implementation and annual reports and ensure submission
  • Administration of Beneficiaries records
  • Keep up to date with clients’ Annual Plan and ensure that all the activities are managed as planned
  • Co-ordinate the submissions of all other Departments as per the annual plan
  • Maintaining and keeping safe of crucial information and make it available when required
