Communications Assistant

Three Year Contract

Stellenbosch

Job Purpose:

This is an ideal position for a young Communication, PR or Marketing graduate to learn while giving communication-related administrative support to a seasoned communications team.

Role Accountabilities:

Provide administrative support
Maintain production schedules
Assist with maintaining communications libraries
Scheduling and/or publishing of content to social media and other digital platforms
Assist with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
Conduct research that enables effective content production
Be prepared and willing to perform tasks outside the given job description when asked from time to time.

Role Requirements:

Post-matric qualification in Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Detail-orientated, highly organised, and able to handle multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional command of the English language
Be able to work under pressure

Advantageous:

Experience with scheduling content to social media channels.
Experience in desktop publishing.
