Commissioning Technician (MCC/Control Panels)

SUMMARY:
For the past 54 years, our client has provided quality electrical products and services within the industrial sector – panel manufacturing, electrical design, software configuration, and site installation. Currently, they have an opportunity for a Commissioning Technician to join their team

POSITION INFO:

As a Commissioning Technician, responsibilities will be in ensuring that products are correctly installed and commissioned and results are recorded on the Test Sheets in accordance with SHEQ management systems and SABS standards.

Job Experience:

• Min 5 years commissioning experience within electrical LV Switchgear / MCC / Control Panels industry
• Project experience in Solar Plants / Waste Water & Water Treat Works / Mines
• BEng / BTech/ N.Dip in Electrical /Mechatronics/Instrumentation
• ISO 9001:2015 QMS

Skills Required:

• Ensure all test equipment is calibrated before use
• Site commissioning and completion of Certificate of Compliance SABS 10142
• Raising of NCR’s for all SHEQ related issues
• Punch List panels and installation for defects
• Record in red-lined and check modifications to electrical drawings for as-built documentation
