POSITION INFO:

Aftersales Department

Salary R25 000CTC

Location: East Rand

Main Function: Providing service and customer support during filed visits or dispatches. Managing all on site repairs, installations, maintenance and test for the company range of products. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining the proper solutions.

Key Functions:

• ·      Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• ·      Tie workflow to schedule.
• ·      Manage and perform all on site repairs, maintenance and test tasks.
• ·      Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine the route cause and corrective action to resolve the same.
• ·      Produce timely and detailed service reports in line with OEM requirements.
• ·      Document processes.
• ·      Operate the company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner and maintain such vehicle in accordance with OEM specification and maintenance.
• ·      Follow all company field protocols.
• ·      Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organisation.
• ·      Build positive relationships with customers. 

Minimum requirements:

• ·         Grade 12 
• ·         Formal Diesel qualification from a recognised institution
• ·         Electrical qualification from a recognised institution
• ·         Computer literacy 
• ·         Must be in possession of a valid passport and willing to travel out of country when required.

• 7 - 10 years active experience as a mechanical and electrical technician at dealership level in the commercial vehicle segment.
• Experience and knowledge of advanced electronic systems.
• Able to operate a laptop at expert level including working with and handling diagnostic tooling of various types.
• Strong ability with electrical systems for diagnosing and repairing.
• Knowledge of Air brakes, suspensions, diesel engines, transmissions and other related mechanical systems for commercial vehicle are vital.
• Able to operate independently and within a team framework.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends and traveling for attending all breakdowns that are assigned.
