Commercial Claims Consultant (Medupi)

SUMMARY:
We are urgently looking for a Claims and Commercial Consultant to be employed on a contract basis at Medupi in Lephalala, Limpopo.

POSITION INFO:

Scope of position:

The position is a temporary position responsible for projects current and final account that includes materials, labour and P&G costing of various company project contracts. Responsibilities shall include commercial and claims assessment operations. A key element of the role shall be the supporting of the Medupi project ramp down and commercial close out for the client.

Responsibilities:
The list of responsibilities below is not intended to be exhaustive. Other tasks or duties may be assigned from time to time that are within the capabilities of the job incumbent.

• Ensure that the provisions and requirements of the group companies project contract(s) are understood and adhered to;
• Ensure that the company’s contractual and commercial position is protected and maximized.
• Establish and operate an accurate value related assessment on claims at the required intervals for interim and final billing.

In the case of Medupi contracts

• Assess the new and “Reserved Claims”
• Support to the upload of the SSA items to the Wage Bureau system and remediation of TDS if so required.
• Final account assessment and project commercial close out
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Maintenance of files and records
• High quality record keeping

Education and Experience:

• A formal Quantity Surveying Bsc Qualification is required alternately equivalent cost engineering certification
• At least 5 years relevant experience, preferably in the Mechanical Services sector is a requirement.
• Medupi Project SSA Claims experience.
• Claims analysis experience.
• Project commercial reporting experience
