POSITION INFO:

Our client, who specializes in the investment and management of the commercial property market in South Africa, are currently looking for a Collections Specialist with focus in Litigation/Debt collection who can start as soon as possible, or immediately at their offices in Stellenbosch. You will be office based.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Completed Legal Degree
• Admitted Attorney
• Computer Literate
• 10 + years post articles focusing in Litigation/Debt Collection.
• Must be very well-spoken and presentable

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Activities focused on recoveries from defaulting tenants, including liaising with external attorneys.
• Formulating appropriate recovery strategies to optimize recoveries relative to time and costs.
• Respond and resolve ad hoc legal queries timeously and effectively.
• Instructing external attorneys and coordinating all legal matters which require external assistance.
• Monitoring progress on matters underway in the courts.
• Updating all internal systems.
• Regular Reporting on progress and collection matters.
• Ensuring targets are reached
