Cold-storage Manager

SUMMARY:

A private farm, situated in the Breede River Valley, who produces and packages various dairy products; offers an opportunity for an experienced Cold-storage Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage stock movements between cold room and packaging warehouse / orders
• Supervision of cold storage staff in receiving stock, packing for orders and applying FIFO to stock
• Ensure that quality standards are maintained in cold storage
• Ensure the accuracy of all inventory movements and inventory records
• Manage stock takes
• Ensure adequate surplus inventories are maintained according to sales planning
• Cooperation with quality, production, packaging and logistics staff
• All associated administrative duties

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• A Tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• 2-5+ years experience in similar role
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Good knowledge in food safety & HACCP
• Good mechanical understanding

• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Attention to detail
• Fully bilingual
• Strong communication skills
