Driver Position
POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and well-presented driver to join our team. This role requires someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods while upholding a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle & Delivery Operations
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults before departure
- Ensure correct loading of stock according to invoices
- Deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Plan and follow the most economical and efficient routes
- Maintain accurate daily log sheets and delivery documentation
- Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and out
Stock Handling & Accountability
- Verify and sign off all loaded invoices
- Maintain a good understanding of products being delivered
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere strictly to all road rules and company policies
- Ensure valid driver’s license and PDP at all times
Customer Service
- Present yourself in a neat, professional manner
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers
- Represent the company positively at all times
- Escalate any customer issues to management
General Duties
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of yard and warehouse
- Support operational tasks when required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Valid Code [8/10] driver’s license and PDP
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Energetic, reliable, and well-spoken
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous driving or delivery experience advantageous.
