Co-ordinator - 10 month contract

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Co-Ordinator from an NGO background for a 10 month contract vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• 3 year Diploma / Degree in Communications, Education, Health, Public Health, Social Science or Social Work
• 3+ years working in a similar position preferably in an NGO environment
• Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, TB and STI  issues in South Africa
• Advanced MS Office knowledge
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills
• Valid driver’s license and able to travel extensively through Limpopo, Free State and Eastern Cape

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Co-ordinate implementation of activities – working closely with government depts. on the rollout of prevention, treatment, care and support services
• Assess training needs, and provide high level mentoring
• On-site visits and ensure quality improvement
• Attend meetings and programme performance reviews at provincial level and government depts.
• Supervise the planning and implementation of activities
• Participate in programme related meetings
• Develop and maintain close collaboration and coordination with key stakeholders
• Facilitate linkages between sub-recipients and DOE, DOH and the implementation of programmes in provinces

Salary:  R45 000.00 – R50 000.00 per month for contract duration
