SUMMARY:
Cloud Vendor Manager required to join an award-winning company based in Glasgow City Centre.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cloud Economist required to join an award-winning company based in Glasgow City Centre.

The Company -

An international law firm with offices all over the globe. Their IT provision is of paramount importance to them as their employees need round the clock access to their systems which need to run like a Swiss watch. Cases depend on it. They are continually growing across their international network of offices to provide exceptional standards of service and are currently building a Global Cloud Centre or Excellence to optimise their use of cloud services.

The Role -

You will be a key member of the team designing cloud platforms, working very close to the architect, finance and IT teams using your financial and technical background to develop cost optimised solutions throughout the cycle. You will build and maintain cloud expenditure forecasts, ensure all database and applications are correct, reviewing all implications behind updates and make investment decisions when moving services to the cloud.

You will have the following Skills/Experience -

** Strong communication skills; verbal and written

** Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud cost visibility, cloud cost optimisation and cloud cost management within Azure.

** Strong experience with O365 and Azure

Beneficial but not essential -

** Experience using PowerBI to interrogate data

** FinOps certification

** Experience of Architecture and Service Management tools

The company promote a healthy work life balance and are flexible with hybrid working from their office in Glasgow City Centre. The hours are Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 17:30pm with occasional out of core hours to support any system changes/maintenance or to support project work.
