We are currently recruiting for a Cloud Network and Security Engineer to join our small dynamic team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Restack helps businesses transition from outdated, on-premise and in-house technology to the latest cloud business models. The continued adoption of cloud platforms, along with the large number of cloud-native services being delivered across the globe, means it’s more important than ever for companies to reduce their cyber risk exposure.

We are currently recruiting for a Cloud Network and Security Engineer to join our small dynamic team. This is a fully remote oportunity, although Restack's footprint is based in Cape Town.

What will you be doing???

Review network and security alerts to determine relevancy of potential threats and take appropriate action to mitigate risk.
Run vulnerability scans and review vulnerability assessment reports to assess and address vulnerabilities.
Manage and configure network monitoring (net flows, IDS, correlation rules, etc.) to ensure optimal use and coverage.
Monitor security access to identify potential risk.
Define access privileges, control structures and resources to protect AWS environments.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards
Recommend, install, and maintain appropriate tools and countermeasures to enhance network security

Qualifications:

5+ years’ IT Software & System experience
1-2 years’ related experience within Information Security Governance or related IT specialist field
Security certification e.g. CISSP & CISM (Desirable)
CCNA / Security+ / CCNA Security / SSCP / CCNA Cyber Ops (Desirable)

Experience:

Knowledge of Cloud network topologies and configuration techniques such as VLANs, VPNs or VNETs
Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
Source control
An understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure
Scripting using Bash or Python
