POSITION INFO:
DevOps Engineer (senior) required for a tech for good company in Edinburgh (can be fully remote).
This company are at a crucial stage of growth, and with some investment and large-scale clients signed up to their product, they are keen to develop the technical team further. The company and their product are part of the ''tech for good'' sector, and offer the opportunity for you to get involved in a company that is genuinely helping the planet!
Currently the team consists of mostly Developers, as well as a Test Engineer, and so the team are looking to bring someone on board who can take ownership of the cloud function.
You''ll be developing best practices and processes from scratch (with potentially another more junior team member joining too) - so it''s a rare opportunity to influence and shape the DevOps/Cloud function as you see fit!
Day-to-day you will be working with AWS, shortening release times and making sure their services are kept online (and processes are automated as much as possible!).
You''ll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Expanding and maintaining cloud services
**Implementing and maintain CI/CD pipelines (ideally Gitlab-CI)
**Linux, Docker
**AWS (AWS CloudFormation)
**Infrastructure as code
**Python
**System administration and monitoring tools (or willing to learn)
The company have an office in Edinburgh, and are keen that people are fairly local to the area (so they can meet up on occasion) but the role can be fully remote, and if you are further afield but still interested, please do apply!
Salary wise, the company can offer up to £60,000 plus benefits.
If this role would be of interest please do reach out and/or get in touch with Erin at Cathcart Associates.
