POSITION INFO:

Boutique Mental Health Clinic in Blouberg area is currently in need of a Clinical Psychologist trained in DBT and behavioural therapy.

Candidates have to have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in either a hospital or clinic environment.

The Clinical Psychologist has to be registered with the HSPCA.

Doctor will have their own office space at the Clinic

Part

Clinic will manage the submissions

Position will be part time for 3 days a week.

Job Duties

• assessing clients'' behaviour and needs via observation, interviews and psychometric tests
• developing, administering and monitoring appropriate treatment therapies and strategies
• Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapyto assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.
• Clinically evaluate patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
• undertaking research
• writing reports
• providing support and advice to carers
• meeting, advising and liaising with other NHS professionals
• helping clients to make positive changes to their lives
• Knowledge of psychological theory and practice
• Interest in how people think and behave
