Clinical Psychologist

SUMMARY:
Addiction and Psychiatric Clinic is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join their treatment team. The Clinical Psychologist should be a passionate, individual with strong boundaries, able to work with addiction and psychiatric patients.

POSITION INFO:

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Facilitate group sessions in the therapeutic programme
• Conduct individual sessions with patients
• Conduct conjoint sessions with patients’ families
• Participation in all groups to gain an understanding of the programme and be able to facilitate various groups when required
• Assess/Interview patients
• Carry out administrative tasks
• Report writing
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary team
• Accompany patients on sessions outside of the hospital and provide therapeutic interventions during these times if required

*Qualification and Desired Experience:*

• Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology
• Current HPCSA registration
• BHF registration would be an advantage
• Experience within a psychiatric and/or addiction environment/hospital
• Awareness of evidence base for interventions
• Good written and spoken English language skills
• Effective interdisciplinary team worker
• Computer literate
