Clinical Mentor/Nurse Practitioner

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Clinical Mentor/Nurse Practitioner for public healthcare with a strong background on education for Gauteng and broader Gauteng region.

POSITION INFO:
Key duties and responsibilities:

• Routinely monitor performance & registers of TB/HIV/STI programmes at the facility level(Hospital/clinic) and provide mentorship and technical support where required
• Identify poor performing indicators, put together quality improvement (QI) plans and implement as agreed upon with the various facilities
• Identify training needs at facility level and arrange in-service training where needed
• Train and mentor staff the various facilities
• Provide constant assessment and constructive feedback and document progress and performance

Qualifications, Experience and skills required

• A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional nurse
• Education qualification 
• Midwifery is a requirement
• Registration as a Professional nurse with the South African Nursing Council
• Nimart mentor certificate will be advantageous
• At least 5 years experience in working at a PHC or CHC facility
• Nimart experience 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good report writing skills
• Strong organisational skills, time management and multi-tasking
• Drivers licence and be able to drive
• Own transport essential
