Clinical Facilitators x2: Faculty of Health Sciences

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
The role will be responsible for:

• Establishing a clinical teaching platform for the Department of Nursing Science;
• Preparing and facilitating practical lessons;
• Participating in the development of the curriculum / academic programmes and perform any other administrative / academic tasks assigned by the Head of Department;
• Accompaniment, supervision and evaluation of students in clinical areas;
• Research and publish in accredited journals;
• Participating in community engagement /initiatives of the department;
• Forming partnership with stakeholders in different departments both private and public institutions;
• Coordinating and involvement in assessment of clinical modules for students registered in the nursing programmes;
• Academic administration and management related to allocated modules in the department; and
• Quality assurance and audit reports for the respective modules allocated.

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health related field such as Public Health;
• Diploma in Nursing Education;
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as Professional Nurse and Midwife; and
• Substantial practical or professional experience gained at a hospital and clinic settings.
