Client Cyber Security Officer / Advisor

The Client Cyber Security Officer is responsible for improving client cyber security maturity by providing risk-based feedback and advice formulated from the analysis of logs, alerts and the relevant control environment. Complex security concepts to be discussed and presented to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Dedicated to keeping up to date with security trends and developments while identifying the potential for new initiatives, realising further improvement.
Experience
• 2 – 3 years of full-time work experience in Information Security or related field
• A good understanding of technical IT domains such as IT architecture, development, or operations, with a clear and abiding interest in information security or system controls
• Good knowledge of information security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2 etc.) will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
• Take ownership of your assigned environment and the improvement of its cybersecurity maturity/posture
• Work closely with cybersecurity analysts to understand technical issues and translate these to a wider audience
• Investigate and analyse incidents and IOCs and formulate appropriate strategies to mitigate or resolve
• Champion incident response strategies and readiness plans and processes
• Perform monitoring of OSINT sources for potential threats against clients, and ensure appropriate defensive actions are taken with respect to these
• Draft written reports, summarise technical information for a wider audience, and develop process documentation
About you, the candidate
• Dedicated individual with a pennant for tenacity, following through on tasks with a passion for completeness
• You must have a sense of curiosity, and a willingness to learn or discover
• You work well in a team, but do not need constant supervision, and have good communication skills
• Good infrastructure and technology experience including demonstrable understanding of security operations
• You are technically minded, understanding the concepts of Information Technology and specifically Information Security/Cybersecurity
• You have an understanding of Cybersecurity governance, policies, related standards and guidelines
• Able to adapt your communication depending on the audience, speaking both to technical and non-technical roles
Qualifications
• All relevant IT qualifications/certifications will be considered. Experience will be key.
