Our Client is seeking to hire 4 Clerk of works with a passion for safety!

Experience and Qualifications

 

• HNC in Building/Construction Or a National Diploma
• Applicants must have experience of working within a multi-discipline teams engaged in the construction management.
• It Proficient Knowledge of general building and construction methods and techniques
• A thorough knowledge of CDM and related construction H&S legislation
• Ability to monitor construction progress and report this to the Project and Construction Managers
• Ability to inspect construction work against drawings and specifications and applicable standards, with thorough attention to detail
• Ability to identify defects and have the confidence & experience to propose technical solutions by liaising with the Contractor, Design team and/or Project Manager.
• Ability to liaise with Project stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
• Ability to review and challenge content of contractor submitted Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
• Ability to use initiative, patience and to remain calm in stressful situations
• analyse safety, quality and productivity performance
• Ability to liaise with contractors, Design Engineers and  surveyors
• Ability to check all building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are being adhered to
• Ability to work between a site office and various construction areas

 

Responsibilities

 

• Manage the safety, quality and productivity  installation works for various construction areas around the site
• Conducting regular site inspections
• Checking that approved civil designs/specifications are being adhered to and implemented safely
