SUMMARY:
Clean Condition Officer (Mpumalanga)

POSITION INFO:

• 5 YEAR CONTRACT ON AN "AS AND WHEN" REQUIRED BASIS
• Review the daily work execution in the Clean Conditions Area against the set requirements
• Provide the necessary assurance that the Clean Conditions Area control is adequately executed based on the minimum requirements
• Approve Clean Conditions Area Permit Applications.  The CCO further has authority to reject or revoke permits based on valid reasons.
• Draw up and update the Clean Conditions Organisation Chart
• Authorisation of visitors into the Clean Conditions High Risk or Low Risk Areas
• Review daily logs as maintained by CC & FME
• Ensure that the Clean Conditions files are maintained
• Ensure Clean Conditions Area equipment is in good condition
• Ensure compliance to the approved floor plan
• Ensure the Clean Conditions Area inspections are conducted as per the review requirements
• Report Access Controller poor performance related issues
• Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness of the Clean Conditions work area and cabins
• Ensure that the fire extinguisher test certificates are valid for the duration of that outage
• Ensure that the generator Tool Container is audited and ensure that the contents of the Tool Container are inspected daily and that the tools are without defects.  Defects should be recorded in a dedicated lost or damaged tool register and should indicate the corrective actions taken
• Ensure that the relevant Generator Clean Conditions internal inspection sheets are available
• Ensure that the Generator Inventory list is available
• Perform Clean Conditions Reviews as per the review requirements of this standard and sign off
• Highlight any potential Clean Conditions risks
• Ensure that work requirements that deviate from the normal work practices are approved via the concession process

Required qualifications:

1. N4 Engineering or higher/5 years GEC Alstom Generator experience
2. Have at least 2 years generator related experience
3. Accredited Clean Conditions training certificate
4. Be able to do shift work
