Claims Assessor - Insurance

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

We urgently looking for a Claims Assessor to assist on a contract for 3 months !!! Must Have life insurance (Funeral claim )cover experience preferred -   

The Insurance company is based in Rosebank .

Minimum Requirements to secure interview :

• Immediately available 
• Traceble References 
• Matric
• RE 5 is preferable
• Insurance related qualification
• Assess validity of  funeral claims 

Experience

• 2-years Funeral claims assessment experience
• 1-2 years’ minimum insurance industry experience
• Data capturing experience
• Computer and Windows (office) literate

Responsibilities :

• Assess validity of all claims (Mdende, EPE and Group Life)
• Evaluate claims and determine requirements
• Process new insurance claims notifications
• Collate accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim
• Analyse claims submitted
• Monitoring the progress of a claim
• Keep accurate records of all claims assessed in accordance with departmental
• procedures
• Ensure fair settlement of a valid claim
• Assist claimants on how to proceed with the claim
• Build relationships with internal and external clients
• Ensure customers are treated fairly and that the customers receive excellent service in
• accordance with industry and company guidelines
• Handle any complaints associated with a claim
• Adhere to industry regulations and customer quality Treating Customers Fairly
