Claims Assessor (Automotive Industry)

SUMMARY:
Recruiting a Claims Assessor that will be responsible for assessing, investigating, and validating vehicle warranty and technical claims while ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership processes.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and validate warranty and technical claims submitted by dealerships.
• Investigate claim accuracy and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and procedures.
• Analyze repair documentation, technician reports, and supporting evidence.
• Identify incorrect, fraudulent, or non-compliant claims and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with dealership service departments, technicians, and warranty teams regarding claim requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on repair procedures and claim submissions.
• Maintain accurate records and reports relating to claims assessments.
• Ensure all claims are processed within agreed turnaround times.
• Assist with audits and support continuous improvement initiatives relating to warranty and claims management.
• Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins, warranty policies, and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Qualified Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate.
• Diagnostic Technician Certificate OR Master Technician Certification.
• Previous dealership experience within the automotive industry.

Preferred Requirements

• Strong understanding of automotive warranty processes and claim procedures.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret technical reports and repair documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Computer literacy and experience with dealership management systems.
