SUMMARY:
Based on the North Coast, KZN, the incumbent of this position will manage the operations of landfill sites and transfer stations
POSITION INFO:
The responsibilities will include:
- Managing the acceptance, treatment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Design of facilities
- Ensuring compliance with legislation
- Management of “yellow plant”
- Co-ordinating the maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment
- Management of construction projects
- Budgeting
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards (ISO 14001, 45001)
The successful candidate will have:
- BSc/B Tech Civil/Rural Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Earthworks, Waste or Landfill Management
- Experience managing plant and equipment
- Knowledge of waste legislation
- Knowledge of geosynthetics will be an advantage
