Civil Engineer (Qualified) Pretoria

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

vCandidate must have a B Eng./BSc Eng degree in Civil Engineering.

vMinimum of 5 years relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a rail or transport specific role.

vGood computer skills with transport specific software an advantage.

vGood technical understanding of all other transport disciplines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ØDetail design, specifications, procurement process, administration of engineering projects.

ØCarrying out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project schedules, quantities and valuations at all stages of a project.

ØProviding project information and assistance to Project Leaders to enable effective project management.

ØConstruction contract documentation compilation (GCC, FIDIC, NEC ) and procurement processes.

ØEnsuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.

ØExcellent technical writing with good communication and time management skills.

ØMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards.

ØAssistance with proposals/tenders.

ØReport compilation, for civil projects.
