Civil Engineer (Associate) Pretoria

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

vCandidate must have a B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering.

vCandidate must be registered as a Pr Eng.

vCandidate should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the design and implementation of municipal services.

vExperience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterMate and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ØManage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle.

ØExperience in professional services tendering and agreements.

ØExperience and understanding of statutory approval processes.

ØLead and manage a design team, including mentoring of junior staff members.

ØExperience in construction contract documentation compilation (GCC, FIDIC, NEC), and procurement processes.

ØExperience in contract administration.

ØWork well in a team environment.

ØStrong communication and people relation management skills.

ØWork well in a dynamic team environment and able to function independently with limited guidance.

ØSense of urgency and ability to respond efficiently and effectively in the execution of project tasks.

ØSuitable candidate must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle, candidate must be willing to travel to remote sites.

ØThe candidate will also play role in the review of work and the mentoring of staff as part of our team.
