Cisco Collaboration Engineer (Collab Engineer) L3 - Eastern and Central American Time Zone - Remote

Our Client a Global tech firm is seeking a Cisco Collaboration Engineer L3 (Collab Engineer) to join their team remotely to support their client in North America on a permanent basis. They offer stability, growth, exposure, benefits, and a great working environment.

Note: These resources will be reporting into the management team in Bangalore and will be ringfenced working in the Eastern and Central Amercian Time Zones

The Collaboration (Collab) Engineer (L3) is a Senior-level position in the Collab Engineers job family. The expertise required, should span across deployment and support for mainly the Cisco Telephony and Contact Centre.

Job Responsibilities

Deployment

The engineer must have solid deployment experience of Cisco Webex Calling and Contact Center. Most deployments done must be with little to no guidance from a senior resource

Support

The engineer should be proactive in identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems, and restoring service to clients as dictated by the applicable Service Level Agreement. Ensuring client infrastructure is not vulnerable to external attacks and ensuring version control for voice and VC infrastructure is N1/Cisco supported 

Role Requirements

• Responsible for IPT Voice and Analog Gateways, maintenance, upgrades, refresh and troubleshooting, etc.
• Responsible for technical support of the Organizations Cisco Unified Collaboration related technologies. Updating of as-built documents of infrastructure and work instructions
• Generation and activation of security certificates for the relevant Cisco products as per vendor best practice
• Identification of risks prior, during and after implementation
• On time Certification of relevant products supported.
• Knowledge sharing with L1-L2 engineers on a regular basis.
• Drafting and sharing of best practice documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Presentation skills
• The ability to work overtime when required
• The ability to work outside of South Africa for short periods when required
• Own reliable transport
• A Valid driver’s license
• The ability to work in a team or alone

Required Qualifications:

• To qualify you must have work experience in complex organizations.
• 7+ years of relevant experience. CCNP Collaboration Certification desired.
• Extensive experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Webex Calling, Cisco Unity Connection/ Unity in enterprise deployments, including bulk administration, provisioning and management of endpoints and user accounts in large-scale systems
• Solid experience with voice gateways: MGCP, SIP, H.323, SCCP, digital PRI/E1, analog FXO/FXS, Cisco Unified
• Solid experience with Border Element, media resources, SRST/SRSV.
• Some Experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express & Cisco Webex Contact Centre including but not limited to UC Manager integration, basic scripting, high availability clustering.
• Solid experience with traditional PBX and voicemail system integration to a UC environment.
• Experience with CME/CUE.
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience in dial plan designs and implementation.
• Solid experience with Cisco Unified Presence with various client application integration: Cisco Jabber, Cisco Unified Personal Communicator, Microsoft Teams/Skype for Business etc.
• Solid experience with IP routing/switching and QoS
• Experience with virtualization, specifically VMware, Cisco UCS B/C-Series servers.
• Experience with multi-cluster call manager environments.
• Strong problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions and implementation of solutions.
