An IT and telecommunications conglomerate seeks an experienced Accountant to join their finance team based in Cape Town. Please note this is a half-day role with the possibility of being full-time in future. In this role you will be working from home and move into a hybrid working environment once offices open up again.

An IT and telecommunications conglomerate seeks an experienced Accountant to join their finance team based in Cape Town.

Please note this is a half-day role with the possibility of being full-time in future. In this role you will be working from home and move into a hybrid working environment once offices open up again.

The ideal candidate would be doing all the functions as this is a hands on role from bookkeeping to reporting. You will also need to be able to manage the finance department independently.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Cash flow management and controls

Budgeting and forecasting

Ensuring accuracy of monthly accounting records

Prepare and present a meaningful monthly management reports to the executive team

Being a key contributor to the management team in terms of decision-making

Full bookkeeping function

Statutory returns (Income Tax, Vat and PAYE)

Ensure annual audits are completed

Implementation and maintenance of financial controls

Assisting in areas where Finance and Human Resource overlap

Education

BCom in finance or accounting

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles will be beneficial

3 to 5 years' experience in a full function accounting role is essential

Experience with cloud-based accounting software

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
