POSITION INFO:
Chef Trainer (Hot and Cold Kitchen) | Botswana | New Opening Culinary School
We are looking for an experienced CHEF TRAINER to join a new opening Culinary School. The school will be located in Maun, Botswana.
The school will be offering City and Guilds Diploma, Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality Diploma and Botswana Qualifications Authority Diploma. It will also be offering students an internship to the US.
The start date is planned for early 2022 but due to a long work permit process, the vacancy is open for applications.
The school will run with 120 full time students in year one and eventually will introduce other short courses.
Skills and Experience required from Chef Trainer (Hot & Cold Kitchen):
- Chef’s qualification from a recognized culinary establishment
- Executive Chef level of experience
- Well versed in Hot and Cold kitchen departments
- Excellent training skills
- Additional hospitality and school management qualifications will be a great advantage
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail
- Great presentation and communication skills
- Crisis management
- Ability to coach and inspire
- Commitment to at least 5 years contract
Salary package on offer:
- Monthly salary P 17 000.00 P 20 000.00 depending on experience and qualifications. The salary is subject to local taxes
- Accommodation will be arranged
- Medical Aid will be provided
- Permits will be proposed by Employer
- Annual paid leave
- Annual return flights home
- Family status – the company will assist with permits but family relocation would be on candidate’s own cost.
