Cattle and Sheep Farm Manager

Our client, a well-established firm within the Agricultural industry in the Eastern Free State is seeking 2x Cattle and Sheep Managers to join their team as soon as possible. Experience with either or both Sussex cattle and Merino sheep will be beneficial.

 

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar position (overall animal health, involving in shearing sheep, moving of camps, weed and pest control, farm maintenance (mechanical, roads, and fencing)
• Working hours: Determined by farming activities
• Housing - Family size house
• Someone who can take initiative, must be a problem solver and self-motivated
• Seeking a strong candidate, who works well with people
• Sotho will be beneficial
• 70km from the closest school

 

Duties will be, but are not limited to:

• Full function Cattle and Sheep Manager duties position (intense sheep farming, overall animal health, involvement in shearing sheep, moving of camps, weed and pest control, farm maintenance (mechanical, roads, and fencing)
