SUMMARY:
Join my client in the Oil and Gas Manufacturing industry, urgently looking for a Category Specialist for their Johannesburg branch to be a part of the Engineering and Construction and Category team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Matric
BSc or BTech degree or equivalent degree or diploma in purchasing or logistics
5-7 years procurement experience with at least 4 years strategic sourcing
Must be proficient on ERP systems preferably SAP
Knowledge of developing sourcing strategies and execution of Tendering process
e-Sourcing / e- Procurements is essential

Job description

Manage and ensure effective execution of the tenders withing the prescribed policies
Stake holder management and communication
Ensure suppliers adhere to TSA procurements procedures
Define contract strategies, draft agreements, implement long term contracts.
Analyse past spend as well as forecast spend and savings cy commodities
Develop purchasing plans and update progress and provide performance tracking reports to the Category Manager
